Trust is something that is earned and important to me. I connected with Jim via a former co-worker because I trusted my co-worker’s opinion. But I had to develop my own trust directly with Jim, which I did fairly quickly. A home purchase is one of the largest we ever enter into, so finding a person that knows the field explicitly, represents your interests in all areas without prejudice, and is fully present isn’t automatic. Jim’s knowledge and experience make him an expert in this field. His advice is practical and sound. He nudges you along but doesn’t push you or rush the process. I always felt he was actively listening to my needs and wants, which weren’t crystal clear in my own head. Everyone should employ their own checklist for choosing an agent, but it should go beyond billboards and radio advertising. I knew what was important to me and made certain I did my due diligence to ensure i chose an agent that was right for me.
